Measuring Differential Pressure

One transducer port will typically be referenced to the atmosphere, allowing for a non-compensated measurement. It is also used when no other sources of differential pressure can be measured with an air pressure transducer.

Measuring pressure in pumps

Absolute pressure can be used to determine the densities of gases. Absolute pressure is the pressure at which neither gas nor liquid can be compressed. It is measured in pascals (Pa).

The absolute pressure transducer measures a tank’s absolute pressure. The sensor is mounted on the tank and connected to an analog-to-digital converter.

The output from this transducer is an analog signal which can be converted into a digital value. The probe is located at the bottom of the tank and measures the pressure above it. It would help if you used high-quality probes to get accurate readings and ensure they are properly maintained.

Measuring Negative or Vacuum Pressure  

Air pressure transducers are commonly used to measure negative or vacuum pressure. This is because they can accurately measure very small changes in pressure.
