Two Types of Investment Apps to Help With Your Investing Career

Investment Apps

Although it seems like no matter how hard you work that money is never enough, investing money can be a great way to diversify your income and build up your capital. So, if you can afford to put a little money aside, don’t let it sit in the bank. Instead, you can put it to work and boost your income. After a few years of considering the idea, I finally decided to invest in the stock market. I have a friend who has been trading for quite a few years, and although there have been some ups and downs, he has made quite a bit of money trading stock. So, with this mindset, I set it upon myself to find the best apps for investing money.

During my search, I came across a site called AppGrooves that said the following on their site:

“AppGrooves has filtered the best 10 apps for “Investment” in Finance from 496 apps. Check it out!”

I certainly did not plan on going through almost 500 apps. So, I went ahead and checked out some of the apps on their top 10 list. I reviewed my favorites and grouped them depending on your needs. The first group is great if you are looking for an easy way to invest in the stock market right from your phone, and the second group is great for keeping up with financial news!

1. Investing Apps for Trading Stock

The first group of apps I selected is great for buying and selling stocks right from your mobile device. No need for a computer when all the tools you need are right in your front pocket. I found them to be quite informative, with up-to-date stock market information and tons of features that are great for learning about investing.

Apps: Fidelity Investments, Robinhood

Fidelity Investments is my first pick. I found it to be a great choice for getting started on your investments, whether you have investing experience or not. I particularly liked that not only do you have access to a wealth of information on international market research, but you can also get connected with an investment expert to help you in your investing decisions. Another plus I found is that you can use an investment calculator to figure out the return on investment and help you achieve your goals! My only complaint is that there is no option to login using biometric security features. However, I must admit, login in with my Fidelity account username and password was pretty fast and straightforward.

Robinhood is my second pick. I highly recommend this app if you are new to the stock market. The interface is user-friendly and the information is neatly organized, making it easy to quickly find relevant information and visualize trends. A big selling point I liked is that the there are no trading or commission fees, and you can also get $500 of free stock by simply referring a friend! I did find the setup process to be a bit slow as it took a few days to link my bank account to the app. However, once it was set up I was able to use my funds immediately to buy stocks, with no waiting time.

2. Investing Apps with Financial News

My second group of apps is great for staying on top of the latest financial news with up-to-date stock market information and financial tools, so you always make the best investment decisions. Managing investments is all about making the right move at the right time, so if you want to boost your money making, I found these apps to be incredibly helpful and informative.

Apps: CNBC, Barron’s

My third pick is CNBC. I found it to be a well-rounded app with everything from global stock market coverage to expert opinions, financial tips and even news clips and shows like Shark Tank. The stock market data is updated 24/7 and you can follow your favorite company’s stock over time. A handy tool I particularly liked is the ability to use interactive charts to plan investment moves. Although some of the charts were a bit slow to load, the valuable information you get is well worth the wait.

My final pick is Barron’s. I highly recommend it if you are interested in getting in-depth coverage of everything business and finance related. I found the articles to be very thorough with great insights into the investment industry. Although I am not a finance expert, I found that the wealth of information really helps in kickstarting your understanding of the business and financial markets. Don’t be fooled by the simple interface. I can assure you, what it lacks in design, it more than makes up for in content.

These are my top 4 picks for making investments and staying on top of the financial markets. Although I found them all to be really useful, my two favorites are Robinhood and Barron’s. Now that I’ve joined in the stock market trade, I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner! Good luck and happy trading!
