Understanding the Customer Experience: 12 Essential Customer Satisfaction Survey Questions

Share

Building brand loyalty and establishing a base of customers that come back for products or services over and over again is what skyrockets businesses to success. The best way to keep customers coming back is to know what they want.

Understanding the customer experience gives you insight as a business into their specific needs. When you know what they need, you can adapt your business model and keep them happy.

The best way to know their needs is by compiling several answers to customer satisfaction survey questions and looking for the throughline. No one understands your customers more than your customers, so engaging with them about their experience will benefit you more than any other business growth technique in the long run.

12 Essential Customer Satisfaction Survey Questions

To get the answers you need, make sure you’re asking the right questions. Use these 12 questions on your next customer satisfaction survey to guarantee success.

2. How do the products make you feel? Note: provide answers to choose from, such as successful, happy, empowered, or productive.

3. Why do you use them?

Demographic Questions:

4. How old are you?

5. Where are you from?

6. What is your marital and family status?

7. Where is your employment status?

8. If applicable, what is your gender identity?

Product Satisfaction Questions:

9. What do you like most about these products?

10. What would you change?

11. On a scale of one to ten, how satisfied are you with these products? One being not satisfied at all and ten being completely satisfied.

12. On a scale of one to ten, how likely are you to recommend these products to your friends and family? One being not likely at all and ten being very likely.

Open-ended Questions

Along with these 12 essential questions, you should also ask some open-ended questions that are specific to your products or services. Ask questions that focus on how your products function in their lives and how they make them feel, along with practical questions about how well your products work for them.

Now that you’re armed with all of the helpful insight from your customers, you can make adjustments to improve their experience.
