3 Things Your Restaurant Businesses Needs

Share

If you’re a restaurant owner, you know that running a restaurant business isn’t as simple as having delicious food and a good location. Restaurant marketing is the strategy behind how you engage with your customer base. Although these two factors are important, having these alone won’t lead to hordes of customers rushing in through your front door. There are multiple factors and conditions that lead to a successful business, and if you’re determined to work hard and see your business grow, we suggest making sure to take into account these following topics in your business strategy.

Restaurant Design

In the age of Snapchat, food blogs, Instagram, iPhones and social media, how a restaurant looks is just as important as how the food tastes. It plays a role in the atmosphere and the background scenery of all of your guest’s photos. In fact, many millennials today choose where to eat on the weekends based on how “aesthetic” the restaurant is.

The color palate you choose for your restaurant should match the kind of atmosphere you would like to evoke. If you own an eco-friendly, health centered menu, such as the restaurant Flower Child, keeping a clean design with white marble restaurant table tops and succulents on top of these table for splashes of green help to produce a modern finish.

Health Regulations

Not abiding by health and safety regulations set by the government are one easy and surefire way to end up splashed all over your local news channels, or better yet, in an incriminating YouTube video shared over and over on Facebook about the unsanitary conditions you’ve been hiding from your customers. Just like that, poof goes the reputation of your establishment. Make sure you get the relevant food handling certifications for your staff to avoid this scenario. You also need to appoint a food safety supervisor to look over and supervise the handling and preparation of food, these employees will also need training in the form of a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate NSW.

If you find signs of mold in your restaurant, don’t ignore it. Leaving mold can leave to foul odors, and to health symptoms such as headaches, sore throat, runny nose, coughing, fatigue, and can be quite dangerous for those with asthma. If there are signs of mold in your building, don’t do your customers and employees a disservice, and call in a mold remediation specialist to check on the condition of the mold, no matter how small.

Social Media – Instagram

We all know that social media is one of the greatest and simplest marketing tools available to business owners. If you’re a restaurant owner, the one social media platform you should be investing in is Instagram, and here’s why.

Instagram is primarily a visually based social media platform and is known for it’s 3×3 grid profile feed. As a restaurant, the best way to grab customers is by showing pictures of your food and visuals of your restaurant, and Instagram allows you to do just that. Posting pictures of your food to your feed allows customers to take a glimpse at your menu without having to read a single word and it also makes it easy for users to tag their friends in dishes that would appeal to them both. In addition, you can easily end up in the home feed of your customers during their lunch breaks by posting delicious pictures of your items around 11 a.m – 1 p.m.

As long as you’ve got a tasty menu and a passion to see your business flourish, implementing and improving these 3 key areas in your business will help ensure the continued success of your restaurant.
