Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will be shipped with “BRS,” a new ultrathin display

Share

Samsung has been moving at a faster pace when it comes to innovative devices. Its foldables have broken the expected sales record due to their sophisticated design and high-end features. The South Korean does not plan on slowing down anytime soon. For now, it is ahead of Apple and most smartphone manufacturers when it comes to foldable technology. The company is tirelessly working to push out the best smartphones anyone has seen.

Currently, it has been reported that Samsung has been working on a new ultrathin display bezel technology.

Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra

Samsung is set to make display bezels narrower than they’ve ever been, according to the newest speculations. The corporation is purportedly working on “BRS,” or Border Reduction Structure, a new bezel-less display technology that will allegedly be used in the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and certain smartphone models.

According to the source, BRS technology will enable future Galaxy devices to have display bezels that are narrower than the Galaxy S21narrowest +’s bezel. The phone’s lower bezel is said to be the narrowest per the source, while we think the Galaxy S21+ side bezels are even thinner.

In any case, flagship display bezels are already quite tiny. And if Samsung uses this alleged BRS technology to make them even thinner for a tablet, we’re looking at a new design paradigm. Especially now that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has proven that under-display camera technology isn’t just a rumor.

Summing Up

The tech giant is working on yet another upgrade. If it succeeds, we shall be looking at another completely different smartphone design. We shall have to wait and see if the new, ‘BRS’ technology is indeed integrated Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, or will it be delayed?

Meanwhile, according to estimates, Samsung’s new foldables are likely to sell 5.2 million units this year. Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip 2, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are more durable, powerful, and elegant. They can copy data without difficulty. They’ve also experienced a big price drop. The company’s new foldables will be a great hit, based on pre-order numbers.
