ILLUMINATE SALT LAKE is an art festival unlike any other! This incredible 2-day event blends light and technology to create stunning displays all over the city. And to make it even better, it’s completely free!
The festival is billed as Utah’s first augmented reality and virtual public art experience. If you or your kids are into cutting edge technology or art, you’ve got to make the trip.
The event takes place on Friday and Saturday, November 8th and 9th, from 5 PM to 10 PM. The beautiful light art displays will be accompanied by a new app, ILLUMINATE AR, which offers a unique augmented reality experience for virtual artworks, games, and special hidden secrets. There will also be concerts, special labs for children, food trucks, and film screenings. There will be great events happening at The Gateway as well as Regent Street/McCarthy Plaza so be sure to take in both venues!
