Huawei is all set to release its newest edition in its flagship P50 series line. New leaks uncovered by a few reputable sources reveal an impressive design of the first smartphone to launch with Huawei’s in-house operating system that reduces its reliance on Android.
The P50 Pro is all set to release and there is a chance that this might be the first Huawei device to launch with the company’s in-house Harmony OS.
It was reported on Onleaks that the new premium flagship device is said to feature a glass rear panel, metal frame with flat edges on the top and bottom, and an overall size of 159 x 73 x 8.6mm. The device will also come equipped with a 6.6-inch display with slightly curved edges, and a centered hole-punch for the selfie camera. While the P50 series is more focused on photography features, the Mate specializes in business and productivity features.
A glass back and metal frame can be observed, which are fairly basic. Additionally, the top and bottom ends of the phone are even and although there’s no headphone jack, an IR-blaster at the top can be located. The reports further claim that the display is a 6.6-inch panel with slightly curved edges and slim bezels. The renders also reveal a centered punch-hole for the selfie camera. This is a step back from Huawei’s off-center punch-hole dual selfie cameras. Moreover, as of yet, no specifications have been revealed about the rear cameras and technical details are scarce.
According to speculations, the P50 Pro will have a Sony IMX800 1” sensor with 50MP resolution, built for smartphones as well as an integrated fingerprint scanner and dual stereo loudspeakers.
The P50 Pro seems to have the makings of a premium device however more cannot be said until further details are revealed. If Huawei’s track record is to be reviewed this might be an impressive device that offers more than just looks so users should be prepared to make this smart switch.
In other news, Huawei is in deep water with the US. The sanctions have forced the company to limit production and take major precautions against further repercussions. It is worth mentioning that it seems highly likely that the Biden administration will remove the sanctions hence the tech giant should brace for impact.
