Saskatchewan’s International Skilled Worker

Alberta’s Express Entry Stream

Alberta uses the Federal Express Entry system to manage its Express Entry pool. A provincial nomination from Alberta will raise the applicant’s CRS score by 600 points, assuring that an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for PR is issued in the next draw.

One of the primary benefits of this stream is that it accepts CRS scores as low as 300 for candidates who are applying through Express Entry. As a result of Alberta’s minimum CRS requirement, it is frequently regarded as one of Canada’s easiest provinces to obtain PR.

The Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream nominates candidates who fulfil provincial labour market demands in the Federal Express Entry system. Candidates must first obtain a Letter of Interest from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration before applying.

To apply, you must:

• Receive a Letter of Interest from the Nova Scotia Nominee Program;
• Meet the Express Entry work experience requirements;
• Show proof of sufficient funds to start your life in Nova Scotia and pay for your immigration fees and travel expenses;
• Satisfy eligibility requirements at the time you receive a Letter of Interest; and
• Have a valid Express Entry number and fulfil all IRCC requirements for the Express Entry pool.

Ontario Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream

Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream is part of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). It provides foreign workers with the required skills, language abilities, and education levels to apply for permanent residency in Ontario.

Following are the requirements to apply for this program:

• At least one year of continuous full-time paid work experience (or the equivalent in paid part-time work) in Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B.
• Your work experience must have been acquired within the last five years and be in the same primary occupation defined in your Express Entry profile.
• You must have a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree from Canada or another country with the same level of academic achievement.
• You must have language skills (English or French) at a Canadian Language Benchmark level 7 or higher.
• You must have enough cash to support yourself and your dependent family when you come to Canada.
• You must intend to reside in Ontario after you’ve been granted permanent residence.
• If you want to be considered for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). In that case, you must achieve a minimum score of 67 on the six selection criteria (education, language skills, work experience, age, arranged employment in Canada, and adaptability).
